Five series, one continuous story

The franchise is not a show with sequels so much as one long run under changing names. Each rebrand marks a shift in format, cast size, or production scale:

IDFB is the striking one. A single episode sits between two multi-year gaps, which makes it the shortest series in the franchise and a significant moment for anyone who was waiting through them.

The other structural oddity is the split at the end. TPOT and BFB ran as parallel shows rather than one following the other, which is why this list interleaves them.

The order is release, not series

Look at the sequence around BFB 27. TPOT 1 arrives, then BFB 28, 29, and 30, then TPOT 2 onward. That is not a sorting error, it is how the episodes actually came out.

Keeping release order matters for a first watch, because the two shows were made to be followed together and events in one land differently if you have already seen the other. A viewer working through all of BFB and then all of TPOT gets a different experience from the one the release schedule produced.

For a rewatch it matters less. Use Sort wheel when you want to check the list is complete, and Shuffle wheel before spinning, since sequential order puts adjacent episodes side by side and makes a landing harder to read on a 98-slice wheel.

Working through the whole run

Random episodes for a first-time viewer

Spinning is the wrong way to introduce someone to this franchise and a good way to sample it. A random landing in TPOT 12 shows a viewer a cast of dozens with fifteen years of accumulated history and no way in.

What the wheel is genuinely useful for is the opposite problem: a long-time viewer who has seen everything and cannot decide what to rewatch. There, the random pull past your own favourites is the whole value, and the mid-run episodes nobody rewatches deliberately are usually the ones that reward it.
