What is Absolute Infinity?

Absolute Infinity is Georg Cantor's term for an infinity beyond every infinite number that can be counted or compared. Writing in the 1880s, he separated the transfinite, which behaves mathematically, from the Absolute, which he treated as out of reach and wrote as Ω.

The distinction is not decorative. Cantor proved there is no largest infinite cardinal, because the power set of any set is strictly larger than the set itself. Aleph-null, the size of the whole numbers, has a bigger cardinal above it, and that one has a bigger one above it, with no top. Absolute Infinity is the name for what sits past that entire tower rather than another rung on it.

Can a wheel actually pick a random number from infinity?
